Lisbeth Salander and underwater creatures

I found this crochet pattern on the internet on Friday and couldn’t wait to start. In the photo, the scarf drapes gracefully and stylishly around the pretty woman’s neck. (I think she is also French).  In my version, it takes on the appearance of some weird underwater creature that’s been stranded on the rocks.  At least, that’s what Rob said. OK, he said octopus, but still I was wounded.

I crocheted the whole thing last night while we watched Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Perhaps we should have picked a movie without subtitles.
