This December festive season has really wiped me out – and we still have four more markets to go!
Despite mixed reaction to my memory shade, I still love it and think the idea has potential. I concocted this today and will be taking it to the Rondebosch Market tomorrow to judge the response from objective strangers. Must remember to put my hard hat on.
And it’s official – the Western Cape is in the middle of a heatwave, so I need no excuse to rub myself with ice cubes and then lie immobile in a cool room. It’s brain-fogging heat.
To be continued…
Oh My Gosh Jill! I do love your memory shade and think that it’s very unique and original for sure! Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to hear the comments. Especially if they’re as good as the last comments that customers had. I’m still laughing about the comeback comments that you wanted to say to them. HA! HA! Best of luck at he market and stay cool!
Love and Hugs,
Tamara
I’ll make notes. Thanks for commenting so positively, it means a lot to me today. :-)
Keep the faith. They’ve no taste if they don’t love it. Now get back to those ice cubes!
Well I think it’s fantastic Jill….anyone who thinks otherwise has no soul!
Sounds as if you need to give a priority to looking after yourself. Heat can be very debilitating. You always make lovely original things.
Heat wave? I wish! Evil black ice here everywhere yesterday morning. It was extremely difficult to stay upright in the street!! Gone now thankfully. Loving the shade. I can see loads of beautiful colour variations and combinations in my head. I really like voiles and sheer fabrics and the layered effect is great combined with the little details. I guess people either have good taste or they don’t!!
You have my vote on the memory shade!
My vote too!!!! melting yet??
It is artistic looking, very delicate… and i will send you 65 degree wind :-)
