autumn cleaning Day #2

Day #2 is a lot less exciting than Day #1.

The current state of two rooms:

a bit of my sewing room, and a view through my office window of a pile of boxes on the patio with I-don’t-even-know-what inside them:

And I won’t be able to get to my sewing machine before late tomorrow. I’m so behind on my production goal for Grahamstown that I’ve had to delete my counter widget in shame.

Wish I could invite you round here to work. Lots of space. Not too much clutter. Some noisy birds outside. A steady stream of coffee, tea and home made cake. We’d get your quota done in no time!

Wow, Jill, seems like you have started a project grandiose! Wish you the best of lucks to finish it soon! De-cluttering has become such an important part of our lives… I should do mine too (though my project would be called Spring Cleaning, since it is spring here in Canada :)

today is the worst so far. i know it’s a real “first-world” problem, complaining about sorting out my stuff and getting everything clean and painted, so i feel i shouldn’t moan. At least the charity shops will benefit after I’ve finished the big clear-out.

a friend reminded me earlier than they have tv shows for people like me – the Pig and her Piggy Lifestyle are the focus of a massive clean-up operation. Apparently other people find the process entertaining. :(
