About

Hello, welcome to my blog. I’m Jill Goldberg in Cape Town, South Africa.

I blog about the crafty stuff I get up to (sewing, crocheting, knitting, mosaicing, renovating old furniture, painting, beading, screenprinting, etc) and how I do it. Some things are for my little business, Jam Tarts, and some are just because I like mixing things up. When I’m in the right mood, there’s nothing like a good experiment! Occasionally there’ll also be stuff about gardening, depression, and parenting. Whatever comes up, really.

Some of my products are listed on the South African Craft and Design Institute’s website, as well as the Made in the Cape’s website. My own website has been wonderfully shopified and I’d love it if you visited me there!

Hi Sonja, we don’t have a shop that sells wool or cotton, only finished items. There are two great shops you can try, though: Mama’s Wool and Habby, Main Road, Diep River, or Orion Crafts, Woodburn Road, Oranjezicht. They both have a great selection. Enjoy your stay here :-)

Aw, Betti, you’ve made my day :-) Thank you so much. I’m going to find an extra hour today to sort out my blog and add widgets and stuff, so will attend to your nomination a bit later <3

Jill I wondered if you still gave crochet lessons – I am desperate to have a few, even a few private ones – I can only do a couple of stitches and cannot make another blanket just going up and down! I find it difficult to understand you tube and website tutorials. My email is glearmont@gmail.com and I live in Gardens CT. Thanks so much Gail

I was already perusing your blog when I saw that you had started to follow mine. Thank you very much. I don’t write as often as I’d like and hope to get back to it a bit more after the holidays. I’m enjoying your posts so far and will continue to visit as time permits. We are finally coming into our cold season so that should help a great deal. Have a lovely day and a wonderfilled weekend.
