We have woken up to a wonderful downpour and the sound of good solid drops of skywater crowd-smacking onto the roof. The sky is a beautiful steel grey and it’s a cool crisp 16 degrees. I rushed outside to feel some water on me, and there I saw Ken had beaten me to it – that’s him doing his happy little rain dance, albeit on his side.
It isn’t due to last long but it certainly is marvellous right now.
Here’s a bedspread I started last night, after finishing the neutral Swiss one. I was desperate to work with some very vibrant colours :)
Back soon x
Faaaaantastic! I’m so happy for you. Long may it rain, water everything and fill the water storages. In about a month you’ll be complaining you never see the sun.. :-) And I really love that new bedspread, the colours have a real African vibe.
It’s over now, but we’ve had a good wetting! Hope it’s made a difference to the dams.
Hopefully it’s primed the pump and there’ll be some more soon.
Ken…why?
WHY KEN? Because Ken, that’s why!!! I found him the other day going through a box of Alex’s old stuff, and realised how much I’ve missed him. He’s in his pyjamas now.
Good. Much better than being dubious in the garden. đŸ˜‚
Hooray for rain!!! I’m so happy you got some. That is a nice and colorful quilt. Enjoy the process. Did you show the Swiss one you finished?
No, I’m just about to do the topstitching. It’s so heavy with the backing on that I can barely carry it to the sewing machine, so have had to wait for Rob’s help!!!
